Monique van der Wal
Monique van der Wal is a Dutch visual artist and artistic researcher who began her artistic development at HKU in The Netherlands. During an exchange semester at UMPRUM in Prague, she fell in love with the city’s unique architecture and to this day uses this as the main source of her inspiration.
Her illustrative works are characterised by invoking feelings of dread and eeriness. More recently, she has taken on 3D modelling and is trying to find ways to combine this with animation and analogue sketching.
Currently, she is attending university in Gothenburg to acquire her Master’s degree in Fine Arts.
