An initiative of the Utrecht-based Thirthy030 to bring some colour to the many neigborhoods of the city. Thirthy local artists were chosen to add some artistic flair to thirthy ugly grey electrical boxes.
As this electrical box is right across from swallow nesting boxes, they were the foundation of this illustration. After that, the sketching continued to develop, letting intuition do its thing.
In the foreground, two dancing women float freely in the air. Behind them we see two swallows participating in the dance, protecting them.
