Mijn naam is Monique en ik ben beeldend kunstenaar, illustrator en grafisch ontwerper gevestigd in Utrecht.

Beeldmaker tussen verhaal en onderzoek.

Als illustrator ben ik constant bezig met verhalen. Verhalen kom ik tegen op straat in de chaos van de stad, ik maak kennis met ze in mijn dromen of ik zie ze in het nieuws.

De spannende wereld tussen theorie en beeld is wat mij bezig houdt als ik aan het werk ben.

Alhoewel digitaal werken mijn favoriete medium is, houd ik er van om mijn handen vies te maken, of dat nu binnen met permanente hoogdruk inkt is of buiten tijdens het maken van een muurschildering.
